Schumer tears into Trump supporter at NYC restaurant, witness says

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) reportedly lost his cool Sunday night at Sette Mezzo on the upper east side, going off on a woman he recognized as being a Trump supporter.

Yelling at Hilary Califano, who’s the daughter of CBS founder William S. Paley, Schumer called Trump a “liar” and said he could not believe she voted for him, according to witness accounts.

“They are a highly respected couple, and Schumer made a scene, yelling, ‘She voted for Trump!’ The Califanos left the restaurant, but Schumer followed them outside,” the New York Post reported.

Hilary confirmed the events to Page Six saying: “Sen. Schumer was really rude . . . He’s our senator, and I don’t really like him. Yes, I voted for Trump. Schumer joined us outside and he told me Trump was a liar. I should have told him that Hillary Clinton is a liar, but I was so surprised I didn’t say anything.”

Schumer has been one of Trump’s most vocal critics, vowing to filibuster his Supreme Court nominee and has continued lambast the commander-in-chief on his agenda, even calling him “incompetent” for not passing healthcare.

The New York senator also made headlines earlier this year when he started crying when discussing Trump’s travel ban from countries with ties to terror, calling it “un-American.”

The president responded by accusing him of using “fake tears” and fear-mongering to misrepresent his administration’s goals.
